In the process of IVF transfer there is no pain involved and there is no requirement of sedation and other drugs. The embryo should be transferred in a technical way, that is using a moderately full bladder, that improves the ultrasound visualization, so that the transfer is done at the right place. It also unfolds the uterus in an accommodating angle that helps the IVF transfer much easier and there are no post transfer problems.

IVF Pregnancy Goal
Most couples get through the IVF pregnancy full-term and give birth to a normal baby.

During the process of IVF transfer there are lots of precautions that has to be taken and the best place to put the embryo is the middle of the endometrial cavity. After the IVF transfer there are some activities restrictions that has to be taken by the women who have undergone the IVF transfer process. After the IVF transfer she has to lie on her back for 1 hour and avoid any physical activity for the rest of the day. This means almost total rest and even normal and regualr activities are restricted and she is advised to return to normal activities the next day. Till the pregnancy test is done, there are restrictions on the activities involving heavy bouncing of the uterus.

9 to 11 days post transfer of the embryo, a test is done to find out whether the pregnancy is confirmed or not. A blood test is advised for this pregnancy test because it is reliable and sensitive. After the discussion of the couple with the doctor, it is decided as to how many embryos should be transferred depending upon the quality of the embryo. There are chances that they might fail and not a single one will hatch so the doctor tries to judge the success of multiple pregnancy also. However placing more than one embryo increases the overall pregnancy rate.

Since so much precautions are included in the IVF transfer process that it is considered as critically important procedure. This is the base of the whole In Vitro Fertilization process and if the placement of embryo is done properly and at the right place, the IVF success rate also increases up to a good extent.
